Dr. Dan Stephens is unique. He takes the
time
to truly listen to you and your
concerns, and then gives you the care and attention you deserve.
For more than
30 years, “Dr. Dan”
has served the residents of Havana IL and surrounding areas.
His fervent commitment
to continuing education keeps him at the
leading edge of dental technology. And his warm, caring and confident
personality ensures that every procedure is performed with precision and
compassion. Dr. Dan is a native of central Illinois and earned his Doctorate from University
of Illinois. A retired Air Force Lt. Colonel, he and his wife Kathy have been
married for three years. They have four children and seven grandchildren—and do
their best to get the good out of them!
Dan and Kathy work for a dental mission in the Dominican Republic, making yearly
trips and are avidly learning Spanish.
He is an expert horseman and enjoys Cavalry reenacting. Dan is also a charter
member and past President of the Mason County Sheriff’s Posse.

 Amy
Ketcham,
Registered Dental Hygienist
Amy plays an integral role on our dental team. She has more than 15 years of
experience (seven working with Dr. Dan) after earning her degree from Illinois
Central College. Amy has also achieved her certification in local anesthesia at
Lewis & Clark Community College. In addition to her work at Dr. Dan’s
office, she has served as a hygienist with the developmentally disabled for more
than ten years. She is extremely knowledgeable in periodontal therapy,
introduced KaVo DIAGNOdent® cavity detection to our practice and is our
Zoom!®
practitioner. Amy is passionate about her profession and keeps up-to-date on the
latest technology and medical advances. Doing so has earned Amy the respect of
her the respect of patients and colleagues alike.
 Megan
Silva,
Dental Assistant
Megan has been Dr. Dan’s Assistant for more than four years and is a credit to
her profession. She has an unparalleled commitment to her patients, making them
feel comfortable and immediately at ease. To Megan’s credit (and
our benefit),
she earned her certification in Coronal Polishing and Sealants at the
University
of Illinois in Chicago.
 Sharon
Bale,
Front Desk Administrator
Sharon has been with our team for two years and offers our patients
understanding and warmth along with efficiency! She has a heartfelt desire to
see that our patients acquire the most favorable insurance options. Sharon has
17 years in Human Resources, with a focus on benefits and compensation.
Additionally, Sharon
has seven years of customer-focused office management experience. Her
contributions as Front Desk Administrator have proven invaluable.
 Kathy
Stephens,
Office Assistant
Kathy, Dan’s wife, ensures the team’s marketing, human resources, customer
service and office environment initiatives are on track. Additionally,
in an
effort to better serve the children living in the Dominican Republic on her
missionary trips, she recently completed her certification in Coronal Polishing
and Sealants at the University of Illinois. She has more than 17 years of
graphic design and three years of human resources experience. In short, Kathy
jumps in whenever she’s needed and enjoys supporting Dan on the mission
field—and off.
